Exchange papers with someone from another row who did not read your first draft. Write "Read by" and then give your name at the top. Read and mark the draft, indicating errors, confusing sections, weak transitions, and particularly effective sections. Then answer the following on this sheet. and give it to your partner with the marked draft when finished.

1. Does the introduction do the following:

  • Start with an opening line that establishes not just the subject, but a particular issue that focuses the reader on a specific issue concerning the film or movie? Y \ N

  • End with a sentence that reminds the reader of the overall point?

2. Pick one point in the paper that uses theory to explain a scene or idea in the movie or book. Explain in your own words what the theoretical idea is and then comment on how clearly that's related to the scene or quote from the book/movie. Does it need clarification?
