KEY LIBRARY RESOURCES AT MONTCO

As you conduct your research for your paper, bear in mind that Montco has several online library resources that you should use to help find academically appropriate sources. To access them, do the following:

Searching for Books:

  • The Brendlinger Library is located at the Central Campus in Blue Bell.
  • Books located at the West Campus can be interlibrary loaned quickly: go to the main desk or call the library to arrange.
  • Make sure you record the call number when you look for the book on the shelf.
  • Click on "Detailed Information" in the book description to find major subject links that might open up new sources for your research.

Searching for e-Books

  • Click on "Find Articles."
  • In the "By Format" section, click on e-Books.
  • E-Books can be searched electronically, saving you time.
  • Remember to close your e-Book when finished: other users cannot access it while you have it "open."

Searching for Articles:

  • Click on "Find Articles."
  • In the "Databases by Subject" section, click on "English-Literature."
  • Your best resources for American Literature are "JSTOR" and "Academic Search Premier."
  • Whenever given the option, always search for "Full text" and "Academic Sources."
