PAPER 2: PEER REVIEW 1

Read and mark your partner's paper. As you read and mark, note the following:

  • Areas that are strong (evidence, clarity of point, analysis, transitions, quote and formating mechanics)
  • Areas that could be improved:
    • Opening lines that don't grab you
    • Unclear thesis
    • Unfocused paragraphs
    • Weak transitions
    • Typos/grammar errors
    • Quote mechanics (signal phrase, quotation, citation, discussion)
    • Underdeveloped evidence or analysis of the evidence
    • Weak conclusion

Then write your partner at least a full paragraph discussing what works and what needs improvement as the paper is finalized.
