PAPER #2: CHECKLIST

PART 1: Please read and sign the following:

On my honor, I have not taken the words or ideas of any person, on-line resource, printed text, or other source without properly labeling those words or ideas and giving the proper citation. This paper is a non-recycled, new paper written specifically for Dr. Halbert's Fall 2012 English 101 course. I have never handed this paper in for credit before.

PART II: Submit your final draft to the Dropbox for Paper #2. No need to copy and paste this time: simply upload the file. Please name the file using the following model: LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_ENG101.doc (example: Halbert_Hal_101_P2.doc). This upload is expected by the start of class.

I understand I must submit an electronic copy of the paper using the file name convention listed above by the appointed time and date. This file must match the paper copy exactly as it will be the copy that is actually graded.

PART III: Submit your paper to TurnItIn.com (see class web page for instructions in the main menu)

PART IV: Post a copy to the discussion board in the "PAPER 2: Final Version" forum

PART V (To be completed in class): Write a note to Dr. Halbert of at least 3/4ths of a page that answers the following questions:

  • What are you the most proud of in terms of this paper besides finishing it and dealing with the technical issues of formatting and uploading?
  • How difficult was integrating Freire into your paper? Was the challenge in understanding his ideas, linking his ideas to your examples, or the issues associated with quote mechanics?
  • If you could start over, what would you do differently in your approach to the paper?
  • What part of the paper still concerns you in terms of how it will be graded?
  • Please answer on the back of this sheet. Remember: we will do this note in class after a brief discussion.
