PAPER #2: PREWRITING

Please review the instructions for Paper #2. Then do the following in MS Word:

1. Which paper topic option appeals to you? Copy and paste the actual bullet that describes the topic you plan to write about.

2. Which of the three theory readings do you plan to apply to this topic? Create an MLA citation for the source: pay attention to if you are citing a book or an item from an anthology.

3. What is the connection between your primary text (the film or novel about which you are writing) and the theory reading you have selected? Explain how the theory can help answer the question about the primary text.

4. What's your working theory about the primary text?

5. Give two quotations from the theory piece that will help you argue your thesis about the primary text.

When you have answered these questions, you should have at least three-fourths of a page or more of typed text in MLA format. Post a copy to the discussion board in the the "Paper #2 Prewriting" forum. Copy and paste your response AND attach the MS Word file. If you wrote the response in another word processor, please export the file as an MS Word file.
